We are Roundabout.

The idea for Roundabout came along in 2020 while pregnant with my son Jamie. At the time, my world was my two girls and all the sweet little treasures, toys and shades of pink and violet that can often accompany sisters.

A little brother joining our crew was bound to shake things up and so began the search for a few special items that could be handed down. One of my favorite things was watching my younger daughter run around in her sister's well-loved coats- a classic peacoat around the holidays or a sturdy puffer in the snow.

With each wear, came all the memories made in those pieces. Little time capsules in their own right. These items I sourced thoughtfully from the beginning, hoping they would stand the test of time for moments like these.

My search produced one little gray coat neutral enough for one last go-around within our family. That’s when I thought how great it would be to easily add interest to a handed-down piece. Something that would make the item as appealing to its third owner as it was to its first. 

Dusting off my art degree, I began sketching the design for the Jamie Jacket inspired by our little caboose, Jamie. In doing so, I looked at classic story books and into my own closet at brands and silhouettes that I kept going back to again and again.

As a mother of daughters first, one can never forget the importance of a great accessory. Our unique, interchangeable cuffs allow this classic and neutral coat to be refreshed each time your little one puts it on.

This small but mighty brand seeks to provide families with heirloom quality pieces that not only last, but appeal to a child’s playful spirit and individuality. 

By utilizing quality fabrics that move and bend with every jump, twist and turn, our outerwear promises to withstand the elements of each child it’s worn by and welcomes a second, third and fourth act. We look forward to Roundabout becoming a part of many fun and lasting memories.
